1. Use the Headline Area Wisely
Just writing your title ("Software Engineer at X Company") is not enough. This is the most valuable SEO area.

Add your key hard skills to your headline, separated by a | (pipe) symbol.
2. About Section: Tell Your Story
This is a keyword repository, but it shouldn't be robotic.
- The first 3 lines are very important—the hook before the "See more" link.
- Talk about your achievements.
- Add your areas of expertise ("Specialties" or "Tech Stack") as a list at the very bottom. This ensures you appear in searches.
3. Experience Section and Keywords
Under each job experience, don't just write the job description.
- Specify the tools and technologies you used.
- Support your achievements with numbers.
- Use industry terms (e.g., B2B Sales, CI/CD Pipeline, Market Analysis) that describe the work you did in that position.
4. Skills Section
LinkedIn gives you the right to add 50 skills. Use them all!
- Pin your top 3 most important skills to the top.
- Ask colleagues for "Endorsements" for these skills. Endorsed skills are prioritized by the algorithm.
5. Customize Your URL
Having a profile URL that looks like linkedin.com/in/name-surname-123456789 is unprofessional.
Fix this in the settings to something like linkedin.com/in/namesurname. This looks elegant on business cards and makes you easier to find in Google searches (e.g., "Name Surname LinkedIn").
Be Active!
Don't just edit the profile and leave it.
- Like and comment on posts related to your field. Commenting allows people outside your network to notice you.
- Share a sectoral news item or a technical article 1-2 times a week.
